Smelly Gadgets

I thought I just bought a pretty cool litter box for my 8-week old kitten. It's japanese made and come with cat door, litter trap on the way out, detachable litter carrier, and a place to clip the scooper inside.

Pretty dandy! Until a little search showd me much human had progressed in the field of cat litter disposal.

The choice of automatic solutions is really quite overwhelming, from auto rakers (LitterMaid, ScoopFree, Simple Clean) to auto roller (Litter Robot) to something that looks like human toilet (CatGenie) to something I haven't quite figured out yet (Purrforma).

Or if you prefer something more mechanical, there is always the Roll'n Clean. But to me nothing beats the simple and elegance Kattbank. (Though noone in their right mind would pay $2,200 for it, it's still cool.)

Firmware Upgrade on Adidas 1

The intelligent, microprocessor controlled Adidas 1 has just got a 1.1 firmware upgrade.

It is now supposedly faster and stronger, among other things. Now when does the PSP hackers start rolling out homebrew firmware for this? May be Adidas 1 Hang Time, or Adidas 1 Beckhamizer?

P.S. Did I just invented a new word? seems so

Test-drived this at the store yesterday, and it has now entered my wish list.

The New iPod

Too bad this one is not for me :S It does picture and video quite well. There is some loading time for video clips, but nothing dramatic. And there is no new controls to be learn if you have used iPod with clickwheel.

The box is about 1/2 that of iPod mini

I’ve always been a skeptic when it comes to wireless desktops. What if the battery ran out? But I guess I am a bit behind the time, cuz this arstechnica review has showed the current offerings to be quite practical.

Another $75 to be lost on silly gadgets?, asked my inner, rational self.

I still think I’m more of a happy hacking keyboard type.

The TOTO Neorest

If someone ask me today, “What will you buy if you’ve got a million dollar?” The TOTO Neorest has to be in the top 5 of my list. In fact, a grand bathroom fitted with all these TOTO goodies, plus the Neorest in the middle, where it deservedly sit.

Surely, everyone need an automatically open, temperature adjustable, auto-flush and clean (no toilet paper required), super-harden surface finish, cyclone flushing, wireless LCD panel remote controlled toilet bowl?

(It’s also got a manual override button, not that you’ll ever need it. I hope.)
